Netguard Dolphin Pinger 60–120 kHz

$0.00

Reduce dolphin and porpoise bycatch with the Netguard Dolphin Pinger (60–120 kHz). Durable, water-activated and designed for fishing nets.

Description

The Netguard Dolphin Pinger from Future Oceans is designed to help reduce interactions between dolphins, porpoises and fishing nets. Its randomised 60–120 kHz frequency helps prevent habituation by dolphins and porpoises, supporting efforts to reduce accidental bycatch.

Built for demanding marine environments, it features a durable, UV-resistant copolymer outer casing and tough thermoplastic internal housing. Its lightweight design allows quick attachment to fishing-net ropes without threading the rope through the casing.

The pinger operates automatically through a water-activated switch and delivers a consistent sound pressure level of 145 dB in both saltwater and freshwater. Powered by a replaceable 1.5 V alkaline C-cell battery, it offers up to 12 months of battery life based on 12 hours of use per day, with an LED indicator and red low-battery warning.

Described by Future Oceans as “seal safe”, its operating frequencies are intended to be inaudible to seals and sea lions. Tested to depths of 1,000 metres, the Netguard Dolphin Pinger comes with a 12-month warranty.
