Description

The easyRESCUE PRO – Search and Rescue Transponder is a further development of the SOLAS-certified easyRESCUE (AIS SART) marine rescue transmitter. This device also features DSC “distress call” (MOB) alerting technology.

Once triggered, the device sends out an AIS telegram, which can be received by all AIS devices (Class A and Class B) within a radius of up to 10 nautical miles or more (depending on the height of the receiving antenna). This is preceded by the transmission of a DSC “distress call”, but initially in a so-called “closed loop” to the vessel’s own vessel. The transmission range of the DSC is similar to that of AIS. If the vessel’s own vessel acknowledges the incoming DSC distress call, the easyRESCUE PRO – Search and Rescue Transponder will stop the DSC transmissions. However, if there is no acknowledgement from the vessel’s own vessel within 10 (5) minutes, it switches to the so-called “DSC open loop” (all-ships call). Here, DSC devices within transmission range can receive this “distress call”

The DSC functionality used with the easyRESCUE PRO – Search and Rescue Transponder makes it possible for vessels with only one DSC controller on board to receive a distress signal from a casualty and determine their current location. This significantly increases the number of potential first responders for the man overboard victim and, of course, also increases their chances of survival.

The easyRESCUE-PRO(BT) rescue transmitter features an integrated Bluetooth LE module. This allows for quick and easy programming of up to eight different MMSI numbers into the transmitter.

The easyRESCUE-PRO3 combines all functions of the previous 2 models with the addition of 121.5mhz homing frequency.
