Description
The Markus Scoop Net is a purpose-built man overboard (MOB) recovery system designed for safe, efficient, and controlled retrieval of casualties using a vessel’s crane. Developed for offshore and utility vessels, it enables crews to recover individuals directly from the water with minimal manual handling.
Constructed from high-strength double polyester webbing with stainless steel reinforcement, the system is engineered to perform reliably in demanding marine environments. Each unit is rigorously tested to ensure strength and durability under load, providing confidence during critical rescue operations.
Key Features & Benefits
- Safe & Controlled Casualty Recovery
- Engineered with double polyester webbing, SS wire, stainless stell and aluminum end pipes for strength and durability
- Built to withstand harsh marine environments and repeated use
- Efficient deck storage
- Seamless crane integration
- Can be used as a scramble net
How It Works
The Scoop Net is deployed over the vessel’s side using a crane. Once lowered into the water, it forms a scoop shape, allowing crew to guide it beneath the casualty. The crane then lifts the net, safely bringing the person onboard in a controlled motion.
It can also be deployed as a standby or mass rescue solution, providing a stable climbing net for multiple persons in emergency scenarios (capacity varies by model).
