Description
The RT-202 CrewFinder Direction Finder System is a compact, highly reliable solution for detecting and locating man overboard (MOB) signals. Constantly monitoring the international emergency frequency 121.500 MHz, the RT-202 automatically triggers an alarm upon receiving a distress signal and simultaneously indicates the direction of the transmitter via an intuitive LED ring.
All Rhotheta SAR systems are equipped with a selective squelch function, ensuring the alarm is only triggered by genuine distress signals—eliminating false alarms caused by radio interference or non-emergency transmissions. For full signal monitoring flexibility, the squelch can also be deactivated to receive any signal regardless of modulation.
The RT-202 Crewfinder also includes a secondary operating frequency (121.650 MHz), ideal for training exercises and routine system checks without interfering with real emergency channels.
Even under the most challenging conditions—low visibility, rough seas, darkness, fog, or heavy precipitation—the RT-202 helps ensure the fastest possible recovery of personnel in the water. Its compact form and durable construction make it suitable for use on smaller vessels, rescue boats, and offshore platforms.
